The Christian Eriksen situation shocked the world of football this evening but BBC presenter Gary Lineker, as he often does, had the right words in the aftermath.
Lineker, who was presenting the game for the BBC, was visibly as shocked as everyone else when pictures finally cut back to the studio.

The images being shown on the field were uncalled for, with Eriksen able to be seen receiving CPR and his partner also shown to be upset. The BBC came in for criticism across social media for continuing to show live footage.
Lineker, then, and quite rightly too, took to Twitter to speak on behalf of the company and issued a heartfelt apology to all who were affected.
Lineker remains one of the most respected figureheads in the game. So often striking the right tone, the former Spurs and Barcelona striker did just that here.
The game between Denmark and Finland has restarted on the 40th minute mark. Eriksen, meanwhile, is said to be stable in hospital. That, of course, is the news EVERY football fan wanted to hear.
Lineker offers a touch of class in an awful situation with Eriksen
Everyone always has an opinion on pundits and former players, but few can deny Lineker is one of the best in the business.
His message here was a simple one. But as ever, he fronted up to his viewers with compassion and the right tone. After all, it was completely out of his hands.
It’s been great to see the footballing world rally around Eriksen tonight.
With a bit of luck, the Danish star can make a complete recovery and this can be banished into a distant and forgettable memory for everyone.
