Hearts defender Aaron Hickey has been attracting plenty of interest in recent months from clubs both north and south of the England-Scotland border. But now it seems the interest in the player has gone continental.
Celtic have been strongly linked with the teenager in the past. The Daily Mail credited Celtic as keen along with several Premier League sides and Old Firm rivals Rangers.
Now the Daily Record is claiming that German giants Bayern Munich are set to step into the race for the 17-year-old.
It is claimed that the Bavarian side have been watching footage of the player and decided they would like him to join fellow Scot and former Celtic youngster Liam Morrison at the Allianz Arena. Morrison left for Bayern in August last year despite Neil Lennon insisting to the Record last July that it was ‘not going to happen’.

The only other club mentioned in the report as having an active interest is Celtic. The claim is that Celtic still have Hickey on their ‘radar’.
As reported by the Daily Record earlier this week, Celtic were keeping tabs on Hickey as an unnamed English club prepared a £1 million bid to sign the versatile defender.
Hickey, who left Celtic to join Hearts in 2018, is seemingly hot property this summer and Bayern are just the latest club to join the queue.
But Celtic will still be hoping they can perhaps secure the return of their former player.
