Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has said that it would be ‘an honour’ for the club to have Liverpool star Mo Salah on the books.
The Reds forward has developed into one of the world’s finest attacking players under Jurgen Klopp. Salah is once again trying to lead the charge for Liverpool this season and has scored 16 Premier League goals.

However, there is increased speculation around the club that Salah might look to move on eventually. The likes of Real Madrid have previously been hovering, while Rummenige’s comments about Bayern will only add fuel to the fire.
“In my opinion, Salah is the Messi of Africa and of course he has the skills to play for the best teams in the world,” Rummenigge told ON Time Sports, via Goal.
“What he [Salah] has achieved can be compared to what Messi and [Cristiano] Ronaldo did with Barcelona and Real Madrid. At the moment we don’t plan on signing Salah, but certainly it would be an honour to have him.”

Liverpool fans will more than likely not take too kindly to the comments from the Bayern chief. For now, Salah remains an integral part of proceedings at Anfield but this will only stoke the fire as we head towards summer.
TBR View: Rummenigge knows what he is doing here, Liverpool should bit back
It’s a bit of a sly tactic this from Rummenige. He knows Salah might be feeling a tad unsettled and is clearly trying to fan the flames a little bit more.
Salah will probably stay put at Anfield anyway but Bayern are definitely trying to add further uncertainty here.
Liverpool won’t be happy with the comments though. Expect this to be a bit of a talking point in the coming days if it’s brought up at any media conferences.
