Bastian Schweinsteiger has played with some truly incredible players during his career.
The German is a World Cup winner and a true legend of the game, winning countless titles during his time at Bayern Munich.
Of course, Bastian Schweinsteiger would make his way to England later in his career, spending a brief spell at Manchester United before heading to MLS.
The midfielder may have only been at Old Trafford for a short period of time, but he clearly looks back on his time in Manchester fondly.
Speaking to the Bundesliga, Schweinsteiger actually named one of his former Manchester United teammates as one of the best he’s ever played with.

Bastian Schweinsteiger names Zlatan Ibrahimovic as one of his greatest teammates
As a part of a TikTok challenge, Schweinsteiger was tasked with naming the three best players he’s played with, and the three best players he’s played against.
Schweinsteiger named Manuel Neuer and Franck Ribery as two of his greatest teammates from his days at Bayern Munich.
Of course, the German could’ve picked the likes of Philipp Lahm, Thomas Muller or Arjen Robben as his last pick.
However, instead, Schweinsteiger chose his former Manchester United teammate, Zlatan Ibrahimovic as his other pick.
Schweinsteiger and Ibrahimovic played for Manchester United together briefly, but they are both undoubtedly greats of the game.

It’s interesting that Schweinsteiger has picked Ibrahimovic as one of his greatest teammates. After all, they only ever played two games together.
That said, they were victorious in both of those games, and in one of those matches, Ibrahimovic did score a brace against West Ham.

Ibrahimovic and Schweinsteiger are hardly the most iconic duo in Manchester United history, but, make no mistake about it, they are two of the best to ever play the game, and the fact that they were actually teammates at one point for United is a bit surreal looking back.
If they’d played together five years prior, they would have been a force to be reckoned with, that’s for sure.
