Former Manchester United player Bastian Schweinsteiger has now lifted the lid on his first impressions of the club when signed in the past.
The Bayern Munich legend played for United 35 times, signing for the club in 2015 when Louis van Gaal was in charge.

Bastian Schweinsteiger was then briefly a part of the Jose Mourinho era too, before he eventually departed for Chicago Fire in the MLS.
The German joined the club when they weren’t at their highest point, but did still win the Europa League, the FA Cup and the League Cup during his two seasons.
Schweinsteiger’s best playing days had perhaps already passed him, but he was still able to contribute both on and off the pitch.
That being said, the midfielder has now been speaking on The Overlap with Gary Neville, discussing his time at the club and his unceremonious exit.
And during the interview Schweinsteiger did lift the lid on how he felt and was received when he first rocked up at Old Trafford.
Bastian Schweinsteiger was underwhelmed by the facilities at Manchester United
The World Cup winner said that the club’s staff were incredibly welcoming, but admitted he was not so impressed by the club’s facilities.
Schweingsteiger said: “People were amazing, how polite they were. That was fantastic.

“Stadium, walking on the pitch, nothing better than that. Facilities, actually not as modern as I expected.”
Of course, this won’t necessarily come as a surprise to Manchester United fans.
It’s long been known that the club’s stadium and facilities need investment, something that is hoped to improve with Sir Jim Ratcliffe around.
It shouldn’t necessarily be used as an excuse by Erik ten Hag and his team right now, but it’s certainly not helping their cause.
Primarily things do need to improve on the pitch, but they can certainly be helped by a revamp of the club too.
Of course, with all the speculation over Ten Hag’s future, it will be interesting to see if a new manager will be the beacon of the club’s new era.
And although he’s not often been linked, perhaps Thomas Tuchel is proving why United should be looking in his direction right now.
