Rangers have been linked with some exciting names in recent weeks. The arrivals of Steven Davis and Jermain Defoe from the Premier League have given the Glasgow side a massive confidence boost regarding their transfer activity.
Which saw Adam Lallana’s odds for an Ibrox transfer slashed over the weekend. Now the former club captain and Rangers legend Barry Ferguson has expressed his belief that a deal is actually possible for the 34-cap England international.
“…Now I’m beginning to believe Adam Lallana.
“I think he’s a top, top player. If Rangers get him, they’ve got an even better chance to snatch the title away from Celtic.
“The guy is genuine quality… he is a top, top player. If Rangers pull that off, I’ll need to give them a handshake.”

Of course, there is currently no suggestion that a deal is actually being pursued. However, Rangers recent moves and Gerrard’s links to Liverpool and Lallana give the idea some credence.
Undoubtedly, the Rangers boss would love to have his former Liverpool team-mate at the club. The pair only played together for one season, before Gerrard left for LA Galaxy.
However, when Lallana was plucked from Southampton in a deal reportedly worth £25 million, Gerrard was clearly a big fan of the player.
“I know Adam a lot better than Lazar, and I know he’s going to be a fantastic player, he’s got balance, he’s got skill but also what the fans may not know, is he’s good leader.
“He was captain of Southampton, so he’ll be a really good member of the squad, so I’m really pleased with that one.”

Rangers fans would undoubtedly love to see the 30-year-old at Ibrox. A deal does, however, still look like nothing but a pipedream.
But to see Rangers linked with bringing such talented players to Ibrox yet again must be a massive boost to fans of the club.
