Barry Douglas has shared a hilarious video on his Instagram story of Leeds United’s marquee summer signing Helder Costa asleep at Thorp Arch after a training session.
Costa, 25, has moved to Leeds after agreeing an initial one-year loan with the club that will automatically become permanent next summer until 2023. It is believed the Portugal international will cost £15million.
Leeds have been busy this week, bringing in Costa as well as securing a loan for Jack Clarke after his Tottenham move, bringing Jack Harrison back and adding defender Ben White to the ranks.
Marcelo Bielsa’s pre-season sessions are renowned to be very tiring, and it seems as though Costa has dived into the deep end with Douglas showing fans that the ex-Benfica man has fallen asleep at Thorp Arch.
TBR’s view – Costa and Douglas can provide Leeds difference
At Wolves, the duo were unstoppable when paired together on the left flank. At Leeds though, Douglas was somewhat average last year after joining the club – failing to live up to the hype.
This season, with Costa likely to be in front of him on the left wing, the duo’s chemistry will surely bring the best out of each other and help them rekindle the connection that proved so effective in getting Wolves promoted.
