Leeds United appear to be on the brink of bringing in a new left-back. The Daily Mail reports that Wolverhampton Wanderers are ready to sanction the sale of Scottish wing-back Barry Douglas this summer. The Molineux club are set to bring in Jonny Castro from Atletico Madrid and see Douglas as a dispensable asset.
For Leeds United, it would be the perfect transfer.
Ever since losing Charlie Taylor to Burnley the Whites have struggled at left-back. Last season they ended up unearthing youngster Tom Pearce, as Laurens De Bock, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Gaetano Berardi all had seasons to forget.

Douglas, meanwhile, was one of the best left-backs in the division. Playing mostly as a left wing-back the former Lech Poznan and Konyaspor star played 39 times and assisted 14 goals in the Championship last season. He also scored three goals, including a stunning free-kick against Leeds in March.
Capable of playing as a wing-back he will suit the style of play that Leeds’ new boss Marcelo Bielsa wants with absolute ease and will be a massive coup for the Whites.
If Leeds can push this transfer over the line, with the impressive Luke Ayling on the other side, they may just be putting a winning team together.
