It appears that Barry Douglas is on his way out of Wolverhampton Wanderers. Leeds United are closing in on his £3 million capture in a deal that has left Wolves fans fairly disappointed.
With good reason. The Scotland international was integral to their success last season. With three goals and 14 assists, he was one of the best left-backs in the league.
But whilst many associated with Wolves are gutted the deal is going ahead one man might be slightly more pleased.
Last season Wolves had Portuguese talent Ruben Vinagre on loan from Monaco. A talented teenager, he unfortunately barely got a look in all season. He played just nine Championship games for Wolves last season.

Which is why it was something of a surprise when Wolves handed him a permanent deal.
With Wolves now signing Jonny Castro from Atletico Madrid on loan and with talk of Oleksandr Zinchenko arriving, it would have left Vinagre the fourth-choice left-back had Douglas stayed.
However, with Douglas leaving and a deal for Zinchenko looking unlikely Vinagre should now be the back-up option behind Castro for Wolves this season.
The 19-year-old is an excellent talent and Wolves will be reaping the rewards of his signing for years to come. It seems they are banking on doing so as early as next season.
