Barry Douglas has delivered an 11-word verdict on Leeds star Adam Forshaw’s Instagram post – after shining for the Whites again on Sunday.

Forshaw, 30, sparkled for Leeds on Sunday despite the 2-1 defeat to Spurs – eventually coming off after 72 minutes having picked up a yellow card.

Leeds had taken the lead through Dan James, only for Spurs to come back and win thanks to goals from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Sergio Reguilon.

Forshaw completed 45 of his 49 passes according to WhoScored. Five of seven long balls found their target – and he laid on a key pass.

He was defensively busy too, making three clearances, three fouls and a tackle. This in just his seventh Leeds appearance after two years out.

The ex-Everton, Middlesbrough and Brentford midfielder posted on Instagram after the defeat – a game in which Leeds will take positives.

Douglas posts message: Leeds star Forshaw deserves huge praise

Massive praise. Forshaw has gone through hell over the last two years, his last game prior to the injury coming in a 45-minute display at Charlton.

What is quite remarkable is how quickly Forshaw has hit the ground running. Leeds fans will know he has kept himself fit while injured.

But the fact is, Forshaw only properly played Premier League football for one season – in which Boro were relegated. He was a Championship player.

Not only has he recovered from a career-threatening injury. Not only has he the ground running. But he has done it at Premier League level.

An incredible feat – and one that Douglas, now playing in Poland in a second stint at Lech Poznan, described with an 11-word verdict on Instagram.
