For the second week in a row, Leeds United left it late to secure victory in the Premier League.

Last week, the Whites looked set for a draw with Norwich before Joe Gelhardt netted a late winner.

Things were even more dramatic on Friday night when Leeds headed to Wolves.

Jesse Marsch’s charges struggled in the first half and trailed 2-0 at the break.

Leeds were potentially staring down the barrel of another heavy defeat similar to the Aston Villa game.

Luckily for the Elland Road faithful, that’s not what happened.

Leeds halved the deficit in the 63rd minute through Jack Harrison.

Just a few minutes later, Rodrigo Moreno pounced on a loose ball after a Romain Saiss error to equalise.

And in injury time, Luke Ayling slammed home following more chaotic scenes in the Wolves box.

The 30-year-old struggled in the first half but improved as the game went on and ended it as a hero.

Not only did Ayling score the winner, but he also helped create Leeds’ first goal of the game.

A real captain’s performance where he stood up and helped drag his team to victory.

Unsurprisingly, Ayling’s peers lauded the player on Instagram in response to his post-match post.

Barry Douglas, Leif Davis, Hadi Sacko, Jamie Paterson, Alex Mowatt and Oli McBurnie were just a few of those who replied.

And here’s what Kemar Roofe wrote about Ayling on Instagram:

Leeds are now seven points clear of the Premier League relegation zone following their win at Molineux.

The Whites are next in action on Saturday 2 April when they host Southampton at Elland Road.
