Manchester City are reportedly interested in bringing Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma to the Etihad Stadium this summer – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter have responded extremely positively to the transfer speculation.
The Daily Star claims that Man City are “confident” they can complete a deal to sign the 24-year-old at the end of the season.
Despite there being interest from Arsenal, Everton, West Ham and Tottenham in him, the report states Man City believe they can win the race for a player Brighton are resigned to losing.
It is understood that Pep Guardiola’s side are eyeing a £30million raid for the central midfielder, and the Man City boss has watched him several times.
If Guardiola is an admirer of you, then you are certainly doing something right.
Bissouma, who earns £25,000-a-week (Spotrac), has been one of the standout performers at the Amex Stadium this season.
He’s a versatile central midfielder that loves tackles and doing defensive work sitting in front of the back four, but he’s got the engine to make box-to-box runs as well.
The Daily Star’s report mentions the Brighton talisman is a target due to the fact Fernadinho’s future at the Etihad Stadium is unclear, with his deal expiring at the end of the season.

A selection of Man City supporters on social media are convinced Bissouma ticks a lot of boxes for them.
His £30million valuation seems incredibly low for someone who’s been so consistent this season in the Premier League, which should make him an even more attractive target.
