Tottenham’s ambitious title tilt suffered a blow on Saturday as they lost 2-1 to Burnley at Turf Moor.

They will look to get back on track tonight when they face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

If Mauricio Pochettino’s men are to land the elusive crown come May they will need Liverpool and Manchester City to drop point considerably.

Having not signed a player for two transfer windows, the summer could be a big one for Spurs.

One man they do hold an interest in is Ajax’s highly-rated goalkeeper Andre Onana, according to De Telegraaf.

The 22-year-old has missed just one league game for the Dutch giants this season and his performances have been superb.

The Mirror are reporting that they now want to sign their academy prospect back from Ajax, having let him leave in 2015.

Barcelona could be a big pull for the player but the chance to create history at Spurs might prove tempting too.

Pochettino should still consider a move.

Okay, so the glamour of the Nou Camp might prove too much, but Spurs are a club on the up.

The report in the Mirror states that Ajax are ready to slap a £35.6 million bounty on Onana’s head but that shouldn’t deter Spurs.

Hugo Lloris won’t be around forever and the Cameroonian would bolster the club’s goalkeeping department considerably.

Spurs need to continue their progress of recent years and signings of Onana’s ilk would show the rest of Europe that they mean business.
