Barcelona were linked with a move for Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi at the weekend and fans of the Catalans giants have been reacting on Twitter.
According to Spanish newspaper Sport, the 29-year-old on a shortlist compiled by boss Ronald Koeman as he sets about bolstering his defence.
Barcelona have struggled at the start of the 2020/21 campaign and currently occupy eighth place in La Liga.
Koeman won’t be able to spend astronomical amounts on players and clearly, he feels Mustafi is an affordable option.
The German World Cup winner is out of contract at Arsenal in the summer and could be allowed to move on during the January transfer window.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta will be keen to add one or two more players to his ranks but may need to offload first.
Mustafi earns £90,000-a-week at the Emirates Stadium and has played 146 times during a four-year spell in London.
Interestingly, Barcelona fans have been discussing the potential for Mustafi to rock up at the Nou Camp.
The reaction seems mixed with some fancying him to do well, whilst others would prefer the club to go for another option.
