The Spaniard – who signed for £18 million from Middlesbrough (BBC Sport) – is coming in for regular praise from fans and pundits and inevitably, there has been some talk about his long-term future.

Recently, the 23-year-old raised eyebrows as he opened the door to a possible return to Spain.

Traore has now given another interview with Cadena SER reiterating that openness to returning.

He said: “Go back to Barça? I have no resentment, I have good memories. But if Madrid calls me I would rethink it anyway.

“Why did I leave Barca? There were misunderstandings with the club and I decided to leave.

“I didn’t go out in the best way, but I don’t regret the decision to leave.”

Traore recently stated that it was intention to first become one of the Premier League’s best players before considering moving on.
