Sergio Busquets is still the same player

Amid all of the criticism of Barcelona in recent weeks, one man has been at the heart of much of it – Sergio Busquets. When pundits have said that Barcelona have lost their identity, it comes as no surprise that it came at the same time as a blip in the holding midfielder’s form.

With four successful tackles, two interceptions and two clearances, Busquets was back to his best in breaking up play and refusing Real Madrid the opportunity to break forward as they tried to break the deadlock and then sought an equaliser, with Busquets ensuring that an in form Isco was kept completely silent throughout.

He was also successful in his two dribbles and had an impressive 90% pass accuracy as he brought the ball forwards time and time again before looking to play in one of the famous MSN trio up front for the Catalans.
