Has the score remained at 1-0, Barcelona would have cut Madrid’s lead to just three points and put an end to a 32 game unbeaten streak, but instead, Ramos protected both their lead and that run with a composed header when afforded time and space to head home.

Ramos again showed what a leader he can be for Zinedine Zidane’s team, coming up with a crucial goal when Gareth Bale is sidelined, Cristiano Ronaldo not performing and Karim Benzema struggling for goals.
