‘Bang out of order’…Jamie Carragher is not happy with what West Ham fans have done

Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher has hammered the West Ham fans ahead of tonight’s clash with Brentford.

The Hammers are taking on the Bees looking to get a win under their belts in what has been an inconsistent season so far.

David Moyes is under pressure at the club and doesn’t seem to be the man some West Ham fans, despite leading them to European glory last year. Indeed, banners have started to pop up inside stadiums calling for Moyes to leave.

And speaking about those banners, Jamie Carragher has slammed the behaviour of the Hammers fans endorsing that.

Jamie Carragher slams West Ham fans over David Moyes

Speaking on Monday Night Football just now, Carragher lambasted the banners and insisted Moyes deserved more respect.

“I want to start with the banner. I think that’s bang out of order. This is a guy who has given you the best night you have ever had in your life for 43 years. That European night and the trip they have been on, they are some of the greatest nights West Ham have ever been on. It’s not just about the football, it’s going away with your mates, the memories. So for me the banner forget that, he deserves a lot more respect than that,” Carragher said.

Moyes deserves respect

Jamie Carragher has a good point here. For all the Hammers fans who might want someone else in and the fact some results and performances have been poor, Moyes does deserve a touch more respect.

Quite what the fans of some clubs expect nowadays is baffling. The Hammers have been fine under the Scot and as Carragher says here, had their best night for years last season.

It’s a case of being careful what you wish for at the end of the day. Sure, West Ham might get someone in who does amazingly well.

However, they might also get someone who takes them down like in previous years and that would be the ultimate disaster.
