What a night it was for Leeds United at Molineux last night, as they overcame the odds and snatched a late winner for the second time in a week.
The Whites had looked well on their way to a comfortable defeat against Wolves, who held a 2-0 lead going into half-time and had seen Leeds lose players through injury once again. One of the players to leave the field injured was Patrick Bamford, who was seen visibly upset in the dugout after lasting just over 20 minutes of his comeback.

Mateusz Klich and Diego Llorente followed before the first 45 was even up, before Illan Meslier was then forced to withdraw in the second period. However, as we know, Leeds didn’t quit and got their rewards with a fine comeback.
And the scenes at full-time were also to be admired. Leeds’ players celebrated wildly, and that included the walking wounded, who tried their very best to join in how they could. According to The Athletic, both Bamford and Meslier were among the players to try and join in the celebrations. The Athletic reports how both Meslier and Bamford hobbled about with a smile on their face, doing their best to celebrate but also protect themselves from further problems.
TBR’s View: Leeds Show True Fighting Spirit At Wolves
This was a display from a team who clearly thought everything was going against them. Injury problems, conceding goals, and a home crowd seemingly ready to cruise the second half.
But Leeds weren’t having any of it. They showed heart, fight, and spirit in abundance and it’s exactly what Jesse Marsch will have wanted from his team.
If this is a sign of things to come from the Leeds players, then they should have more than enough in the tank to stave off any relegation fears.
