‘Baller’: Manchester City fans laud ‘underrated’ Riyad Mahrez in Everton win

Manchester City cruised to another Premier League win this evening at Everton and their fans have been loving the result on Twitter.

Goals from Riyad Mahrez, Bernardo Silva, and Phil Foden were enough to see Pep Guardiola’s men maintain their tight grip on top spot in the table at the expense of the Toffees.

Everton did put up a decent fight and got themselves level through Richarlison. However, City were simply too good, as a number of players once again delivered the goods with Ilkay Gundogan missing.

One player who caught the eye with his goal and all around performance was Riyad Mahrez. The Algerian winger was in the mood tonight and got his rewards with a fine effort to put City back in front in the second 45.

Twitter, then, was full of comments from City fans singing the praises of Mahrez. The former Leicester man, it seemed, stepping up when Pep Guardiola needed his most.
