Bailey Peacock-Farrell played his first international game for his country this week. He earned his first Northern Ireland cap in the defeat to Bosnia-Herzegovina. Despite receiving some criticism after the game, he will still be immensely proud of his achievement.
Rightly so, because 2018 has been a whirlwind.
It looked as though his time at Leeds was coming to an end in January. With little chance of first-team football, he was given permission by Thomas Christiansen to go on trial at Landskrona in Sweden.

The second-tier side passed on his signature after a three-day trial and internal friendly.
Shortly after his return to Leeds, things started to look up. Christiansen was gone and Felix Wiedwald and Andy Lonergan were both struggling between the sticks. New manager Paul Heckingbottom decided it was time for a rethink.
“Bailey has made a good impression on us and has shown a professional attitude, but we have chosen to end the contact now. We are continuing the search for a goalkeeper.”
– Landskrona sporting director Peter Swärdh on Peacock-Farrell
Peacock-Farrell has maintained the number one spot ever since. Even with the arrival of Chelsea loanee Jamal Blackman, the 21-year-old remains first choice with new manager Marcelo Bielsa.
A first international cap and a regular with the team top of the Championship. Not a bad turnaround after getting rejected by a Swedish second-tier side less than a year ago.
