Kevin Campbell believes selling Aaron Ramsdale this month would be ‘bad business’ by Arsenal.
Gunners fans are hoping Mikel Arteta and Edu Gaspar will be active in this window, but there is a feeling that Arsenal will need outgoings to fund a big move. Ramsdale’s future is up in the air, but Campbell thinks it would be a mistake to sell him.

Kevin Campbell tells Arsenal not to sell Aaron Ramsdale
Aaron Ramsdale started this season as the number one at Arsenal.
The Englishman, who joined the club for £24 million (Athletic) in 2021, had an amazing campaign last time out. He played a massive part in helping the Gunners challenge for the title, and everyone expected him to carry on this season.
However, Mikel Arteta replaced him with summer signing David Raya in September, and the Spanish goalkeeper has played almost every game since.
Ramsdale has been linked with a move away from Arsenal on multiple occasions, but Campbell is having none of that. He feels selling Ramsdale would be ‘bad business’ this month.
He said on The Highbury Squad: “Ramsdale is going nowhere. I’ve said it all along, he is going nowhere.
“Solely because, remember I think it was the last game where Raya kind of pulled up, he had something up with his foot at Fulham. So, you know, you get one injury and the next minute Ramsdale’s in.
“It would be bad business to get rid of Ramsdale, bad for business. In the summer, I understand maybe you move and shake and do things, but right now in January, no, you don’t make that move.”

Arsenal should keep Ramsdale
Arsenal know very well how bad things can become when their main man gets injured and they have to replace him with someone who’s not good enough.
William Saliba‘s injury last season cost Mikel Arteta the Premier League title, so the last thing he needs now is to sell Aaron Ramsdale and then see David Raya get injured.
Campbell is right, Arsenal should not even consider selling Ramsdale in this window – he can still be a very important player for the club.
However, if a massive offer does come in from somewhere, Arsenal could be tempted to accept it and move him on.
