Avram Grant has told The Sun that one of Thomas Partey’s biggest strengths is his consistency, and insisted that he will make a big difference for Arsenal following his Emirates move.
Partey became the latest addition to the Gunners’ first-team on Monday. As noted by The Sun, Mikel Arteta’s men spent £45 million to bring him in from Atletico Madrid.

There is plenty of excitement coming from the fans following Partey’s arrival. And that will come as little surprise to Grant, who previously managed the 27-year-old at international level.
It was the former Premier League boss who handed Partey his first cap for Ghana. And he backed the midfielder to make a major impact in North London.

“Thomas doesn’t tend to have good days and bad days because you know every match what you will get from him, which is his best for the team,” he told The Sun.
“He is a central midfielder, who will win the ball and play the right pass forward and can see the pitch, tactically disciplined as well and committed to his team,” he went on to add.
“And he will make a big difference to Arsenal, just like he did at Atletico. He is a really good signing, just what they needed.”
TBR View: Arsenal may be getting Partey at his peak
At 27, Partey could be about to enjoy the best years of his football career.
And given that he was already a stalwart for Atletico Madrid before his move – he made a staggering 141 appearances for the club in all competitions following the start of the 2017/18 season – it is an incredibly exciting prospect that he may just be hitting his peak.
There may be some pressure on him to succeed following his switch. But judging by Grant’s comments, Partey should have little problem living up to expectations for Arteta’s side.
