Averaging a goal every 30 minutes, Tottenham should have moved for Paco Alcacer

Paco Alcacer is loving life in Bundesliga and is showing exactly what he could have brought to north London for Tottenham as he notched yet another goal for Borussia Dortmund.

Scoring against Bayern Munich to complete a 3-2 comeback victory, the Spanish international is now averaging a goal every 29.5 minutes in 2018/19 minutes and continues to be prolific.

Linked with a move to Tottenham for just £15 million in 2014 by the Mirror, Tottenham may now regret not investing the money in him to provide competition for Harry Kane.

Instead, Tottenham have been through a procession of forwards from Roberto Soldado to Fernando Llorente who have failed to live up to expectations as an alternative to the England captain.

With an option to buy included in his current loan deal in Germany, it seems unlikely that there will be an opportunity for Spurs to move for the 25-year-old again in the near future.

Tottenham may already be regretting not gambling on the former Valencia man when they had the chance four years ago as he goes from strength to strength since leaving Barcelona on loan in the summer.
