Arsenal could have an ace up their sleeve in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang when it comes to landing AZ Alkmaar striker, Myron Boadu.

The Gunners want to sign the 19-year-old striker this summer according to a number of reports. However, AC Milan have also added Boadu to their list of potential targets. (CalcioMercato)

Boadu has been lighting up the Eredivisie this season with 13 goals and eight assists. That form, coupled with his speed and power in attacking areas has seen the teenager catch the eye around Europe.

Arsenal, though, could have the upper hand when it comes to landing Boadu. A space in the squad could well be opening up. The Gunners, then, should use that space to their advantage when it comes to convincing the Boadu of his next move.

Aubameyang out, Boadu in

One thing Boadu will want is the guarantee that he will play a good chunk of football for any new club he joins.

He won’t want to move away from Holland to simply sit on the bench. That’s where Arsenal could well offer the striker the perfect opportunity.

It has been heavily reported this week that current Arsenal talisman, Aubameyang, will move away from the club.

And with Alexandre Lacazette also potentially on the way out, the brass ring is there at the Emirates for someone to grab and make their own.

Boadu, then, could see that as the perfect challenge. He’d be given instant chances you’d assume with those two strikers out of the way, with only Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Martinelli really in his way.

Having previously rejected the chance to sign for Arsenal, Myron Boadu could well end up being just what the Gunners need in 2020.
