Tottenham and Ireland fans have been singing the praises of and celebrating Troy Parrott being called up the Republic of Ireland squad today.
Parrott, 18, is currently on loan with Millwall but is highly-regarded in north London and is a player Jose Mourinho is thought to have high hopes for in the future.
It’s not the first time that Parrott has been called up and he did indeed make his debut for Ireland in 2019, starting and contributing an assist in a 3-1 friendly win over New Zealand.

He has yet to make a big impression at Millwall as yet but is clearly on the radar of the Irish management team, who have opted to give Parrott the call after seeing the squad suffer with injury and covid-19 tests.
Spurs and Ireland fans, then, have been on Twitter giving their thoughts on the situation, with some believing it could be a big moment for the youngster.
