At just £6m, Patrick Vieira can solve left-sided issue with Arsenal man - TBR View

It has been an exciting start to life for Patrick Vieira as Crystal Palace manager. The Frenchman has got four signings on board, all of which are a blueprint to what he wants to at Selhurst Park. But he needs a new left-back and Arsenal’s reported £6million price tag should put Vieira on red alert.

Michael Olise (19), Joachim Andersen (25), Marc Guehi (21) and a loan for Conor Gallagher (also 21) is a brilliant start to Palace’s summer overhaul. A combined age of 86 for four players shows Vieira’s approach. He wants young, hungry players that can take Palace forward.

But it also gives Palace the opportunity of cashing in for a bigger fee in the future. Younger players, plus good form in a big league, equals massive resale value. However, to get the best out younger players, they must be combined with more-experienced stars that can help them learn.

Palace and Vieira need a left-back, Arsenal outcast Kolasinac perfect at bargain £6m

Patrick van Aanholt has left the club and Palace need a new left-sided defender. Perhaps this time, Vieira needs to consider a player with a bit more experience to go alongside the up-and-coming talent of Guehi – and the still young Andersen. A player who is not old, but experienced.

7 Players Who REJECTED Manchester United

Step forward, Arsenal left-back Sead Kolasinac. Already at 28, he has the best part of 300 appearances at professional level for Arsenal, Schalke and Bosnia. The Gunners are ready to let the powerful left-back go for a bargain £6million this summer, according to the Express, after a loan at Schalke.

Kolasinac’s mix of defensive nous and attacking willingness to get forward suits Vieira. With Palace having spent almost £50million already, bringing in a cheaper alternative such as Kolasinac makes sense. Experience but still plenty left in the tank, Vieira needs to lure Arsenal ace Kolasinac to Palace.
