West Bromwich Albion ace Semi Ajayi had a night to forget for Nigeria on Friday.
The 27-year-old was impressive for the Baggies in the Championship last term en route to promotion and has found his feet in the Premier League this season.
However, he struggled for the Super Eagles in their latest Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Benin City, which saw them lead Sierra Leone 4-0, only to capitulate completely.

Nigeria were dominant in the first half and raced into an emphatic four-goal lead by the half-hour mark, Iwobi scoring a brace alongside goals from Victor Osimhen and Samuel Chukwueze.
However, the visitors rallied round to stage a remarkable comeback, Kwame Quee netting before the break to make it 4-1.
In the second half, an Alhaji Kamara brace, either side of a Mustapha Dumbu goal, the latter right at the end, ensured a share of the spoils for both sides.
Ajayi came on in the 65th minute, replacing Leon Balogun, but struggled as the opposition struck three times in the last 20 minutes.
Allnigeriasoccer gave the West Brom man 3 out of 10 and wrote: “Came on for Leon Balogun who suffered a back problem.
“At fault with William Troost-Ekong for two of Sierra Leone’s goals, one of them a deflection from his foot.”
Goal.com, meanwhile, was a little kinder with 5.5 out of 10, writing: “The West Bromwich Albion centre-back was part of the backline that conceded three goals in the final 20 minutes as Nigeria collapsed late on.”
TBR View:
Not a good display from Ajayi but he wasn’t the only player to struggle by any means, with his teammates at the back hardly covering themselves in glory.
Nigeria have the chance to redeem themselves on Tuesday against the same opposition, this time away.
Ajayi, like the rest of his teammates, will be sure to work extra hard and put in the hours on the training pitch to ensure the same thing doesn’t happen again.
