Rangers are reportedly willing to let Ianis Hagi leave Ibrox this summer for a fee in the region of £8.5million – just one season after his permanent move to Rangers. It is likely to attract interest from numerous clubs.
Indeed, Italian newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport have claimed that Champions League side Lazio want to bring Hagi back to Italy – after a spell at Fiorentina in which he struggled. At Rangers, his form has been a whole lot better.
Surpassing 50 appearances for Rangers, he has become a mainstay in Steven Gerrard’s starting XI – boasting 19 goal involvements. Scoring seven goals for Gerrard’s men in their title-winning campaign, he has also laid on 12 assists.
The report claims Lazio are ready to take advantage of his form and bring him to Italy, and it is believed that Rangers want a figure slightly more than double the figure they initially paid to sign Hagi – a fee of £8.5million.

Given his form in the Europa League and domestically at Rangers, as well as the ability play in the middle of midfield as well as out wide on either flank, Hagi is a bargain at £8.5million and will have more suitors than just Lazio.
Indeed, Leeds need to be looking at the playmaker. The Whites tried to sign an attacking midfielder last summer – Rodrigo De Paul, for example. Hagi might not start, but he has the potential to become a Premier League star.
Given it is a small fee, a potential move for Hagi would be low risk – but one with the chance of resale value and given the form of Hagi, those chances are high. Cheap, cover and versatility, and flair, Hagi is a no-brainer for Leeds.
