The Republic of Ireland under-19s certainly had a day to remember yesterday as they romped to a win against Gibraltar’s youngsters. Tom Mohan’s side dealt out a thrashing in a 13-0 win. It did not quite match Gibraltar’s recent 14-0 loss to Austria, but Ireland will be pleased with their demolition job.
Aston Villa fans will certainly take note of the result, considering one of the players who played a key role in the win.
Tyreik Wright scored four of the Republic of Ireland goals in the 13-0 crushing. It was a sensational performance from the Aston Villa youngster, even if it did come against weak opposition.

The winger’s impressive display comes amid good form with the Aston Villa under-23s.
The 18-year-old made the step up to the under-23s halfway through last season and he is now a regular for Mark Delaney’s youngsters.
He recently scored in the club’s 3-2 win over Newcastle United and the youngster from Cork looks to have a clear future in the game.
Aston Villa fans will do well to remember his name going forward.
