Callum O’Hare spent last season out on loan at Carlisle United but has been heavily involved in Aston Villa’s pre-season programme.
O’Hare has been speaking to the Express & Star about his prospects of first-team football this season for the club he has supported his whole life (as per Birmingham Live).
He said: “I’d love to stay here (at Villa) and play in the Premier League but I’m not really sure with what’s going on yet. We’ll see what happens, I’ll keep progressing and see where it takes me.
“I’m just going to see what happens, never say never. I don’t really know what’s going on. I’d love to play for Villa. I feel like I’ve been doing well. The vibe around the place is really good at the moment.”

Villa have been spending heavily in the transfer market but their squad was thin after their loan deals expired and there could well be space for O’Hare at the club this term.
Playing every week in the Championship may well be the next step of his development after an impressive time in League Two, but he can’t hide his desire to play for his boyhood club.
It would be a real jump up into the top flight, but his energy and directness could well be an asset off the bench.
