Aston Villa will hope Tammy Abraham's views aren't shared by Ethan Ampadu

Aston Villa’s top-scorer last season Tammy Abraham is ready to take Chelsea by storm next season. He confirmed in interviews with both The Mirror and The Guardian that he is ready to play for the Blues next season.

The reason why he feels he now has this opportunity at Chelsea, is the club’s transfer ban.

Chelsea cannot currently sign any new players so several young players will feel they have a chance at Stamford Bridge.

Abraham’s message will certainly resonate as a rallying cry for several Chelsea youngsters. Aston Villa, however, will hope it doesn’t for another talented Chelsea player.

The Guardian reported earlier this month that Aston Villa are hopeful of signing Welsh international Ethan Ampadu on loan from Chelsea this summer.

The 18-year-old is seen as a versatile and useful addition to the fold at Villa Park with assistant manager John Terry a big fan.

However, if he sees Abraham’s comments as a rallying cry, perhaps Ampadu will believe he has a chance to be a regular at Stamford Bridge as well next season.
