Aston Villa are reportedly hoping to sign Tammy Abraham on loan once again this summer.

However, the Villans could have an issue in that Chelsea would prefer to sell him, according to Sky Sports.

Villa, as well as other clubs including Arsenal, have been heavily linked with Abraham in recent weeks.

The Sun recently claimed Chelsea were willing to consider £35million bids for a player they value at £40million.

And Sky Sports says Chelsea would ideally like to sell him for £40million amid interest from Arsenal.

Could Villa promotion hero come back to B6?

Abraham appears surplus to Thomas Tuchel’s requirements at Stamford Bridge.

But the £80,000-a-week man is a high-calibre player who has done well throughout his career.

Abraham has taken in three loan stints while at Chelsea, including at Villa.

He was sensational on loan at Villa Park, scoring 26 Championship goals en route to promotion.

And Abraham hasn’t done badly in blue either.

The £80,000-a-week ace claimed 18 goals and six assists in 2019-20, and 12 goals and six assists last season.

Aston Villa eyeing player who’d shine under Guardiola?

Indeed, former Manchester City ace Trevor Sinclair has told Pep Guardiola to consider signing him instead of Harry Kane.

Asked by Jamie O’Hara if Sinclair would take Abraham over Kane at City, the latter replied on talkSPORT last week: “I would, yeah.

“He’s a young enough player and with Pep Guardiola’s coaching ability and the teammates around him, he’s a top player.

“He’s a handful, his pace, he looks to stretch the lines, he’s a finisher.

“No player’s perfect, especially at 22 or 23, but there’s a lot of growth there with Tammy.

“He’d be someone I’d be very interested to see at Manchester City.”
