Aston Villa transfer: Fans react to Tammy Abraham reports

A number of Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from the Daily Mirror claiming that the Villans are ready to make a bid for Tammy Abraham in the transfer window.

Villa have certainly been the pace-setters in the early stages of the summer. Of course, they have broken their transfer record to sign Emi Buendia.

And they may now be ready to break it again in the very near future.

According to the Daily Mirror, they are ready to offer up to £40 million for Abraham, with the Chelsea striker open to a return to the Midlands.

And Dean Smith does have Wesley and Keinan Davis also in the ranks.

Nevertheless, it does appear that signing a new striker would be a smart move. And Abraham has proved both that he can score in the Premier League, and score goals for Villa.

And that is why the reaction to the latest reports has been largely positive.

Admittedly, some do not believe that spending £40 million on Abraham makes a lot of sense with Watkins doing so well.

But many clearly think that bringing the Chelsea star back would be a superb way to move forward after such a promising start to the window.
