Aston Villa are reportedly interested in Liverpool dazzler Ryan Kent this summer.

According to the Scottish Sun, Dean Smith’s side will join the £10million hunt for his signature, regardless of whether or not they win promotion in the Championship play-off final.

It is understood that Villa have informed Premier League giants Liverpool they want to sign the attacker, but Rangers would love to re-sign him after having him on loan this season.

The report also details that Huddersfield Town and Fulham have eyed the 22-year-old, but may not be able to afford him.

Villa’s attention is clearly on the play-off final at Wembley against Derby County and they are so close to getting over the line to the Premier League.

The Midlands giants certainly will need to strengthen if they are promoted and trying to turn some of their loan deals into permanent ones would be a great start.

Kent has just spent the season in Scotland with Rangers and he caught the eye for Steven Gerrard’s team at Ibrox.

The Englishman made 43 appearances across all competitions for them, scoring six goals and supplying nine assists in return.

He is a left-winger with tremendous pace and trickery, while he’s got an eye for goal too.

Kent’s £10million valuation is a slight gamble given his lack of exposure at the top level, but he’s got great potential and would be a great option out wide for Villa next year.
