Aston Villa reportedly have Brentford attacker Neal Maupay on their January transfer window.
According to the Sun, the Midlands giants are lining up a raid for the 22-year-old and see him as the ideal replacement for their loanee Tammy Abraham, who could end up leaving to join Wolves.
It is understood that the Brentford paid £2million for their striker in 2017, but he could now be worth three times that price.
Maupay has proven himself to be a lethal attacker during his time in England and Villa should view him as a £6million masterstroke signing if they pull off a deal for him.
The centre-forward has been in stunning form this season, scoring 15 goals and supplying six assists in the Championship already.

Villa boss Dean Smith signed Maupay when he was in charge of Brentford and should be able to get the best out of him in the Midlands.
There is no doubt that Villa need to add a prolific goalscorer to their squad if Abraham leaves and the Brentford ace ticks a lot of boxes.
Maupay has a physical presence that allows him to lead the line well, while he’s shown that he’s a versatile finisher that finds the net on a regular basis.
His £6million quoted price tag could be an absolute steal in the current transfer market and keep Villa in the mix for the play-off battle.
