Aston Villa target £40m PL ace who's 'got everything' after Coutinho coup - report
Aston Villa have set their sights on Yves Bissouma, according to Sky Sports.
The Villans have already pulled off a coup in the January transfer window by landing Philippe Coutinho on loan.
However, it looks as though Villa have more in the pipeline with regards to high-profile signings.
And Bissouma would certainly be another coup for the Villa Park outfit.
Bissouma, now in the last 18 months of his Brighton contract, is one of the Premier League’s best midfielders.
The 25-year-old was previously linked with the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool.
He joined the south coast outfit in the summer of 2018 from Lille for a reported £15.2million.
Bissouma has made 111 competitive appearances to date for the Seagulls.
Last September, Arsenal legend Ray Parlour urged his former club to move for the Mali international.
“I would love to see (Bissouma) at Arsenal, I said that in the transfer window,” Parlour told talkSPORT (23/9/21, 8:40am)
“I think he’s got everything. He’s efficient, he can put his foot on the ball, can put his foot in as well, can pass.
“He’s the one who’s going to keep everything ticking over.
“I’m sure Brighton had to sell one of their players and it was Ben White in the end for £50million.
“But I think he’s going to be a top star.”
The Athletic reported in April last year that Brighton wouldn’t entertain bids of less than £40million for Bissouma.
