Aston Villa starlet sends message to Leeds youngster after U23 win

Aston Villa starlet Kaine Kesler was amongst those to respond to Charlie Cresswell after the defender took to Instagram to celebrate Leeds United’s under-23s clinching their league title.

Mark Jackson’s side have been promoted after an outstanding season. And the decisive result came against the Villans on Friday night.

Leeds won 2-1 against Mark Delaney’s youngsters. The result was all more impressive given that Villa’s lineup included a handful of first-team players.

They also deserve credit for seeing out the game with 10 men. It was Cresswell who was dismissed during the second-half after picking up a second yellow card for a rash challenge.

However, it does not appear that that red card mattered too much after the full-time whistle.

Understandably, the result prompted plenty of celebrations amongst the Leeds players. And Cresswell was one of several to take to social media.

The centre-back has been a colossus throughout the campaign. He is certainly one player who looks destined to become a first-team regular in years to come.

And amongst those to reply to the 18-year-old was Kesler. The teenager played against Leeds on Friday, and he sent a classy message suggesting that the Whites deserved their title win.
