Beni Baningime is eager to leave Everton on loan during the January transfer window, The Daily Mail reports.

Baningime impressed during his breakthrough season at Everton last term and was expected to play a role in Marco Silva’s plans for this campaign.

But instead, the youngster has been frozen out of the first-team and has not played a single minute of competitive football.

The 20-year-old is ready to force a temporary exit this month so that he can develop his game elsewhere and prove a point to Silva.

The Championship would be a perfect place to send him as it would test his readiness for first-team action in the 2019/20 season.

And Aston Villa could be an ideal location for Baningime. This loan arrangement could work well for Aston Villa, Everton and the player himself.

At Villa Park, Baningime would offer an alternative option to under-performing midfielders Glenn Whelan and Conor Hourihane.

With energy and technical ability in the middle of the park, the Congolese midfielder could help lift Aston Villa away from mid-table and towards the play-offs.

The Everton starlet has played 12 first-team games, including eight Premier League matches and three Europa League outings.

But in order to seal his future with Everton, he needs to convince them that he is good enough while out on loan.

At Aston Villa, Baningime would be playing under manager Dean Smith, in front of big crowds and to a high standard.

His game could improve significantly in the West Midlands, helping Everton in the long run when he returns next summer.
