Aston Villa face a nervous January transfer window, as they wait to see whether they can keep hold of Tammy Abraham for the rest of the season.
The 21-year-old centre-forward has scored a stunning 16 Championship goals already since he joined in the summer on loan from Chelsea and is pivotal to a promotion bid.
According to the Sun, Wolverhampton Wanderers are lining up an £18million bid for Abraham and Chelsea could cut his loan short in January in order to offload him.
That would leave Dean Smith in a precarious position if Abraham does end up leaving and he needs to plot a response in case their talisman exits.
Villa will need a new striker that can try fill a huge void in attack and should plot a potential swoop for Liverpool’s Dominic Solanke.

Solanke, 21, is currently frozen out of the Liverpool first team this season and yet to make a senior appearance.
But the centre-forward is very much built in the same mould as Abraham with his physical presence in attack and has shown he can be a tidy finisher in front of goal.
He’s had senior appearances for Liverpool and Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem, while also being a prolific score at various English youth teams and even earning a senior cap under Gareth Southgate in 2017.
Solanke is a highly-rated talent that needs some regular minutes to reach his potential and Villa would have a potential star on their hands if they could tempt Liverpool to offload.
Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has already confirmed a swoop for Solanke is off the cards because of fitness concerns, but Villa should be prepared to take a gamble on him.
In an ideal world Smith will be able to keep Abraham for the rest of the season, but plotting an alternative option is a sensible idea.
