Aston Villa should recall Easah Suliman and give him a first-team chance
Aston Villa clearly have a centre-back issue at the moment. Undoubtedly, it is an area where Dean Smith will be looking to improve in the January transfer window.
However, Aston Villa should take a leaf out of Leeds United’s book. Marcelo Bielsa’s side beat Villa 3-2 yesterday. The Argentine has shown immense faith in young talent at Elland Road, Yesterday, it paid off, with the likes of Bailey Peacock-Farrell, Leif Davis, Jamie Shackleton and incredibly talented Jack Clarke all thriving.
Aston Villa have top young defenders at the club who should be getting a chance.
One of them is currently wasting his time sitting on the bench at Dutch side Emmen.
Easah Suliman is currently at the mid-table Dutch side but has played most of his football with the club’s under-21 side.
It makes little sense to have him in the Netherlands when he could genuinely be an option for Aston Villa going forward.
The 20-year-old is a cultured defender, with England youth caps, who could thrive under the playing style of Smith at Villa Park.
It would certainly serve the player better to be in and around the first-team at Aston Villa right now, than wasting his time in the Eredivisie.
