Aston Villa have lost striker Wesley for the remainder of the season after the Brazilian picked up a serious knee injury against Burnley.
The club-record signing was challenged heavily by Clarets defender Ben Mee and received lengthy treatment on the pitch.

It has since transpired that the South American will miss the rest of 2019/20, and faces six to nine months out of action (BBC Sport).
It’s a cruel blow for Wesley, who will have been hoping to kick on in 2020 after a tough start to his Villa career.
He will not have the chance to add to his six goals for the club this season, and Dean Smith is now left to work out how to replace his regular number nine.

The manager is widely expected to dip into the transfer market, but January deals for decent strikers can be tough to facilitate.
Luckily for Villa there may just be an option, with a Bundesliga-based player reportedly now wanting to leave his club.
TBR’s view – Poacher Alcacer could keep Villa up
With Borussia Dortmund signing Erling Haaland, Spanish striker Paco Alcacer now wants to leave the club according to Sky Germany.
Villa should definitely consider making a move if there’s any indication Dortmund will let him go.
Alcacer was a revelation last season during his loan spell, scoring 19 goals in 32 appearances, with a lot of those coming as a substitute. His superb form prompted Dortmund to exercise their €28 million/£24 million option-to-buy (Barcelona official).

In 2019/20 he started brightly, scoring five in his first four Bundesliga matches, but injuries have disrupted his momentum.
Alcacer scored 43 in 124 for Valencia, and has 12 in 19 caps for Spain – quite simply, he is a proven goalscorer who has the potential to keep Villa in the Premier League.
