Aston Villa manager Dean Smith wants to add two more players to his squad before the transfer window closes, according to Sky Sports News.
Villa have reportedly spent over £140 million already ahead of their return to the Premier League and confirmed the signings of Tom Heaton and Marvelous Nakamba this week.
But Smith is apparently not done there and wants to sign another duo of players before Thursday’s deadline to go with the 12 new-boys he has already.
Neal Maupay and Said Benrahma – both of Smith’s former club Brentford – are named and both apparently valued at £20 million, but there are also other targets.

Villa’s reliance on loan deals in the Championship meant that they needed to beef up their squad upon getting promoted and they certainly haven’t messed around.
Many might have expected Smith’s business to be done after this week but he is apparently showing no signs of letting up – so where does he need to improve?
Perhaps another striker to offer cover and competition for Wesley, who has been on fire in pre-season but may need time to adjust to the Premier League, but it remains to be seen whether Villa would stretch to spending the money required to land Maupay.
