The Italian press has been updating on the situation regarding Mattia Perin’s potential move to Aston Villa this summer.
Over the weekend, it was first reported by Calciomercato that the player has doubts about the move.
However, Corriere di Torino is reporting that Aston Villa are very much still in the hunt for the two-cap Italian international.
They claim that any deal to sign Perin would cost Aston Villa in the region of €15 million (£13.5m). Juventus director Fabio Paratici has already been in England to try and kick-start negotiations.

That fee is the same as the one Benfica were willing to pay earlier this summer. That deal, as reported by The Sun, collapsed after a failed medical. Perin is said to be out for the next four months with a shoulder injury.
Aston Villa, it seems, are still willing to take a risk on Perin, who would help ease their goalkeeping issues.
The club have been linked with a number of stoppers this summer, including Jack Butland, Neil Etheridge and Tom Heaton.
It comes after both Orjan Nyland and Lovre Kalinic failed to establish themselves at Villa Park last season.
Paying £13.5 million for a currently injured player might seem a rash move from Aston Villa. But considering Perin’s quality it may be a risk worth taking.
