Aston Villa predicted XI v Sheffield United: Two changes, Sanson and Trezeguet start

Aston Villa travel to Sheffield this evening to take on Chris Wilder’s woefully out of sorts Sheffield United side at Bramall Lane.

The Villans ran out 1-0 winners earlier in the season. An Ezri Konsa header proving enough after the Blades missed a penalty through John Lundstram and saw John Egan sent off for bringing down Ollie Watkins.

Villa come into the clash in good form themselves. Their last trip to Yorkshire saw them leave with all three points, with a 1-0 win at Leeds a welcome result for Dean Smith’s men.

Smith has some big calls to make in terms of selection tonight. And while he’s unlikely to take a hammer to things, there could well be a few changes in attacking and midfield areas, although Jack Grealish is missing again meaning Villa are without their best player.

Morgan Sanson is pushing for a first start, while Trezeguet will hope to get the start ahead of Bertrand Traore on the wing.

With that, here’s how we see Aston Villa lining up when they face Sheffield United in the Premier League this evening.
