John McGinn believes that team-mate Jack Grealish is the best player in the Championship, The Birmingham Mail reports.
Aston Villa beat Bristol City last weekend and had to make do without Grealish. And McGinn admitted the Villans missed him but he was delighted to prove they can play without their talisman.
McGinn told The Birmingham Mail: “Jack is the best player in the league and there is no doubt he has inspired the run we are on. In his absence, the confidence he has given the rest of the lads has carried on.
“It is a massive victory, for the fact it gives everyone a confidence boost to show we are not a one-man team.
“Even though we really missed him, hopefully he can come back next week but it is a confidence boost for the lads to show we can (do it without him).”

Grealish’s return to fitness in early March coincided with Aston Villa’s resurgence and now they are in a good position to launch a promotion bid.
The 23-year-old midfielder has scored three goals and provided an assist since his comeback from a three-month injury sustained in December.
Grealish missed the win over Bristol City due to illness but is expected to return for the next game. And with a five-point gap inside the top six, play-offs are looking more and more likely with star man and captain Grealish leading the charge.
