According to reports in Portugal, Quentin Beunardeau could be making a move to England this summer. Aston Villa and Sheffield Wednesday are reportedly interested in the goalkeeper, as per Record.
Beunardeau currently plays for CD Aves in the Primeira Liga – Portugal’s top division. Having conceded just 28 goals in 25 games, the Frenchman has been an impressive performer.
Previously of Le Mans, Nancy, Tubize and Metz, the 25-year-old has now found his best form in Portugal and that could earn him a move to England.
But Aston Villa should not make him their summer priority as they are already well-stocked in the goalkeeper department.

Although the Villans do not have a standout choice, their current options of Jed Steer, Lovre Kalinic and Orjan Nyland will keep competition healthy.
Whether Aston Villa stay in the Championship or win promotion to the Premier League, they will need to spend some money in the transfer window.
But rather than look at new goalkeepers, Dean Smith must concentrate on a striker replacement for Tammy Abraham, a new winger, a younger midfielder and the whole defence.
In fact, a new goalkeeper is probably the least of Aston Villa’s concerns. Beunardeau could prove to be a good player in England but he is not needed at the moment.
