Aston Villa fans respond to passionate tweet from goalkeeper

Aston Villa set a new club record yesterday in their 1-0 win over Millwall at Villa Park. It was their tenth win on the bounce and eclipsed the previous consecutive win milestone.

It sets the Villans up nicely for the play-offs and they will hope to maintain their form during the last two games of the campaign.

Given the form which Dean Smith’s team are currently in, not too many of their top-six rivals will fancy facing them in the lottery of the play-offs.

One of the focal points behind such good form has been a solid defensive unit. That has included the impressive Jed Steer between the posts.

The 26-year-old wasn’t in favour earlier in the campaign but since Smith clearly values his contribution to the team.

Following yesterday’s victory over Millwall, Steer took to Twitter to speak of his delight at his team-mates and their current form.

In response, the Villa faithful were quick to throw their support behind their number one custodian and praise his current form.
