Aston Villa came from behind to earn a respectable 2-2 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford yesterday.
Dean Smith’s team took the lead in the first-half thanks to a stunning effort from Jack Grealish. A Tom Heaton own goal did give United parity at the break, however.
Victor Lindelof then put United ahead but the Villans weren’t to be denied and two minutes later Tyrone Mings volleyed in to ensure a share of the spoils for Smith’s team.
Villa are slowly settling into life in the Premier League. Yesterday’s result sees them three points clear of the relegation zone after 14 games played.

Smith’s host of summer signings are slowly starting to settle into the side and performance levels are creeping up each week.
Despite several new additions, it’s a long-serving Villa man who keeps making the headlines.
Grealish was once again superb at Old Trafford. It seems inevitable that England boss Gareth Southgate will take a look at him prior to the European Championships next summer.
His scrumptious goal which left David de Gea stranded caught the eye. With few options in the box, he took matters into his own hands and curled an unstoppable effort into the top corner.

His performance, on the whole, was magnificent and Villa fans were desperately impressed.
Here is a selection of tweets from the Villa faithful regarding Grealish’s latest showing:
