Aston Villa’s summer window has been a busy one so far and they could now be in the mix to sign one of Europe’s most in-demand forwards.
The Villans have already made moves to strengthen the squad for Unai Emery with a number of big signings.
The likes of Amadou Onana, Ian Maatsen, and Ross Barkley have all arrived at Villa Park ahead of the club’s return to Champions League football.
But, Unai Emery wants even more and he’s looking to add a certain type of quality to his team to give Villa an edge in the final third.
Interest in former Chelsea loanee Joao Felix is rife. The Portuguese is high on Emery’s list and he’s seen as a dream target.
However, another top forward from Europe is now also being mentioned in the form of Italian star, Federico Chiesa.
Aston Villa linked with Federico Chiesa
According to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Chiesa is attracting serious interest from England.
The likes of Tottenham and Arsenal are known to be keen admirers of Chiesa but according to GDS, Aston Villa could also sign him as well.

It comes amid reports that Chiesa has been left out by Juventus this weekend for their friendly with Brest.
Chiesa is pushing to leave Juventus and the Turin club are keen to sell if a club will pay the right money.
Lauded as a ‘superstar‘ by the media over in Italy, Chiesa enjoyed a superb Euro 2020 as he helped his country win the tournament in England.
Chiesa the icing on the cake for Aston Villa
While some clubs have dithered along this window, Aston Villa have not messed about one bit and their squad is looking great for the new campaign.
The signings made already make Villa a lot stronger but if they can add a forward like Chiesa to the ranks, then it’s the icing on the cake really.
Chiesa has fallen by the wayside a bit in Turin but there’s no doubting his quality.
Villa, then, will be hoping this is one they can be firmly in the mix for as the final weeks of the window tick by.
